Community guidelines

DrugChat is for adults aged 18 and over to discuss personal medication experiences respectfully.

Share your experience clearly

Use “in my experience” when describing what happened to you. Mention the product or formulation and time on treatment when helpful. Do not present your experience as evidence that everyone will respond the same way.

Protect yourself and others

Use a nickname. Do not publish addresses, phone numbers, full names, medical record numbers, identifying images or another person’s private health information. Posts are public and may be indexed by search engines.

Keep the discussion safe

No harassment, hate, spam, advertising, drug sales, sourcing controlled medicines, impersonation or fabricated testimonials. Do not tell another person to change a dose, abruptly stop treatment or ignore medical care. Do not post emergency requests here; this site is not monitored continuously.

Moderation and reports

Use the Report button to flag harmful, misleading or identifying content. Automated checks limit spam and links; the operator can remove content. A report does not guarantee immediate review. If you see a possible emergency, encourage the person to contact local emergency services or a crisis service.

Your contributions

You retain rights to what you write and give DrugChat permission to host and display it as part of the community. You must have the right to publish the content. You can delete your own posts and replies from “My contributions” in the browser used to create them. Deleting a post hides its thread from public view. Retained replies are no longer shown in that thread.
